For centuries, the memory palace was a technique: an imagined architecture where experiences were placed in rooms and corridors, ready to be walked through and retrieved. Palace of Memory builds that architecture collectively and opens the world of DETROIT from a different angle. Through records, texts, conversation and the reenactment of events in a video game, the audience works directly with the material of the piece, and memory becomes something created, shared and transformed together. he interactive evening closes with a DJ set by Peter Wacha aka DJ Upstart, a central figure of the German techno underground since the 1980s and founder of the label Disko B and the Munich club Rote Sonne.
